The lawyer said the 37-year-old inmate suffered in jail because his mattress was about a foot too narrow for his body. He couldn't squeeze his legs under the prison tables at mealtimes, and seating didn't provide support for his back.
Any other early released inmate would have had to go to a halfway house. Hewas rejected by two such institutions because they said they couldn't accommodate someone his size.
"I'm going to have a proper bed and finally have a chair I can sit in," he told the paper outside the prison.
"I want a normal life. I've done some stupid things and I've paid for them," he said.
