Da' Tara romps at Belmont to a win . It wasn't even close for Triple Crown favorite Big Brown who came in dead last. Big Brown lost the Belmont Stakes to the 38-1 long shot Da' Tara. Eased up in the homestretch, he was so far behind at the end that his margin of defeat wasn't even charted.

"He was empty. He didn't have anything left," trainer Desormeaux said. "There's no popped tires. He's just out of gas."

Wheelchair Tragedy in Atlanta

A woman in a motorized wheelchair slammed into a hotel elevator, forcing the doors to open, and then fell about 30 feet down the shaft early Saturday, a city fire official said.

It took firefighters about 45 minutes to rescue the woman at the Claridge Tower at Bally's Atlantic City. The woman, who was not identified, was "extremely fortunate" to be alive, Battalion Chief Michael Mooney said. Mooney didn't immediately know the woman's condition, but he said she was conscious when she was transported to the hospital for treatment.
